CLASS POLICIES
REGISTRATION
Registration is on a first come first served basis, up to a maximum of 8 students per class.
LATE REGISTRATION
We offer rolling admission, and students can begin classes with us even after the start of a session. To register for the current session, please email us at canartstudious@gmail.com or call us at (510) 366-0025.
MISSED / MAKE-UP CLASSES
Please email or call to notify us if your student is unable to attend a class. A make-up class can be scheduled prior to the end of the current quarter. There is no refund for missed classes.
Please note that Can Art Studio is open for classes on federal holidays (Labor Day, Veterans Day, Presidents Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and Memorial Day). There will be no refund or make-up classes for federal holidays.
DROP-OFF / PICK-UP TIMES
Parents / guardians must accompany students when arriving or departing. Early drop-offs and late pick-ups may disrupt other classes, so please be considerate of our teachers and drop off and pick up on time. Parents are welcome to stay with their students in the waiting area until class begins, otherwise Can Art Studio may charge a fee for excessively early drop-offs and late pick-ups.
CLASSROOM SPACE
Only registered students can stay in the classroom during class time. A waiting area with seating is available for guests and parents to wait.
CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR
Can Art Studio is a safe space for students to learn and create. All students are expected to conduct themselves properly while at the studio, including respecting their peers and their peers' work and following the instructions of the teachers. Use of profanity, destruction of studio property, and bullying in any form will not be tolerated. Students may be removed from the program for behavioral issues at the teacher's discretion.
Students must be able to use the restroom independently. We provide access to a restroom, but they must be able to use the toilet on their own.
MEDIA RELEASE
Registration for our classes and camps grants permission for us to use any photos, videos, or audio recordings taken during class for promotional and marketing purposes. This may include, but is not limited to, usage on our website and our social media pages. Requests to withhold such permission must be made to Can Art Studio in writing.
